On the one year anniversary of SANDSTORM’s launch of the ALREEM 4x4 SUV, the company held an inauguration of its manufacturing facility in Dubai Investment Park. The event was attended by high level dignitaries and the media, which consisted of a presentation from SANDSTORM’s leadership team and a factory tour.

The facility has an annual production capacity of 3,800 vehicles and consists of a 16,000sqf assembly building, 7,000sqf testing PDI and 9,500sqf kits building.

Dr. Majida Al Azazi, CEO of SANDSTORM, said the new car plant offers a great opportunity to attract international manufacturers to the local market, a move that helps support the UAE's strategy for economic diversification.

"We are extremely proud of this ground-breaking achievement, which is the first Emirati factory to manufacture different types of 4x4 vehicles - a major milestone that we truly cherish, as being the region's first manufacturers to make the first Arab 4x4 cars," she added.
